Privacy Policy

Pxlify is a tool for creating beautiful screenshots and professional screen recordings, and for sharing them via hosted links. We collect only the data we need to provide and improve this service. We do not sell your personal information.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign up, we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Media you create. The screenshots and screen recordings you upload or generate, along with related metadata such as titles, dimensions, and creation timestamps.
• Usage data. Basic information about how you interact with the app, which helps us diagnose issues and improve features.
• Technical data. Information automatically sent by your browser, such as IP address, device type, and browser version.

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and operate the Pxlify studio and your account;
• Store your media and generate shareable hosting links;
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• Respond to support requests and communicate service updates;
• Monitor, debug, and improve the performance of the service.

Screenshots and recordings you create are stored on cloud object storage and served through a global content delivery network (CDN). When you generate a share link, anyone who has that link may be able to view the associated media. Treat share links as you would any unlisted URL, and avoid sharing media that contains sensitive information you do not want others to access.

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate Pxlify, including cloud hosting and object storage for your media and our application infrastructure. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services to us and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential to the operation of the service and is not used for advertising. Disabling it will prevent you from logging in and using your account.

We retain your account information and media for as long as your account remains active. When you delete media, it is removed from your account; if you delete your account, we remove your associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials confidential.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly from your dashboard, or contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.

Pxlify is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Pxlify after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
