ig.me/m/username is Instagram's short link to a direct-message thread. Tapping it on a phone opens the Instagram app on the chat with that account, so customers skip the profile page.
Can I pre-fill the message text?
Instagram does not support a pre-filled draft in ig.me links the way WhatsApp does. For pre-written text, use our WhatsApp or SMS generators.
Does it work for personal and business accounts?
Yes, the link works for any account that can receive messages. Business accounts also see it in their inbox, request folder or Meta Business Suite.
What happens on desktop?
